Jesse Smith Racing Team Bio

The Jesse Smith Racing team is made up of dedicated people and sponsors who without I could race at all.

First of all my parents have been one of my biggest supporters. Who have devoted their whole life to my racing career. They are the ones who got me started and help me keep my dream alive.

Bob Cumbow my crew chief is one of the smartest people I have ever worked with on a late model. Before coming over with Jesse Smith Racing he was crew chief for Todd Kluever and Robbie Pyle. He is just incredible and gets the car just right. We really work well together and get along terrifically. If there is any problem with the car we can always work it out together to get the car right for race. He has made such a big difference that I couldn’t imagine racing without him. He has allowed our team to excel to our full potential. Not to mention how good of a person he is.


John Childs who owns Childs Tire is my car owner. He is one of the nicest people I have ever met. He is a great car owner who really understands racing. He has been instrumental in the upbringing of the careers of Rusty Wallace, Kenny Wallace, and the late Tony Roper. He has allowed our team to have the resources that we need to race competitively and is just a joy to have at the racetrack. I cannot thank him enough for being with Jesse Smith Racing

To all of my crew you guys are just incredible! Their commitment to Jesse Smith Racing is unconceivable. For all the long nights in the race shop working on the racecars, I thank you. You guys are the ones who gets me to the track and keeps the car running. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate it.
